CaptionSync allows you to manage and edit your Contact Information and Email Notifications. In this article we explain what options are available and how to make changes.
In your CaptionSync account, go to Settings -> Contact Settings. Below is a description of each section and what each option pertains to.
When you're done making changes, ensure you click Update Contact Settings (bottom of the page).
About Me:
This information will allow us to identify your account, and contact you when needed. You can add more than one email address in a comma-separated list, with no spaces between them:
address1,address2,address3
Note that, in some cases, firewall restrictions or spam filters will prevent emails from our domain (automaticsync.com) to be delivered. For alternative suggestions on how to handle this, please read our article about Results Email Not Received.
Send Email to My Email Address(es) about the Following:
General:
- Await Customer Review: If you selected Customer Reviews Transcript Before Captioning or Customer Reviews Description Before Results, you will be sent a notification when the results are ready for your review.
- Await Customer Review Time Exceeded: If you selected Customer Reviews Transcript Before Captioning or Customer Reviews Description Before Results, you will be sent a notification when the maximum review time is exceeded and the results are accepted as they are.
- Audio Rejected by Transcriber: You will receive a notification if the transcriber rejected your submission.
- Web Submission Successful: You will be emailed the results when a submission done via the web UI completes.
- Web Submission Failure: You will be emailed if a submission done via the web UI failed.
- Submission Rejected at Result Review: If you selected Result Review: AST Manually Checks Caption Files in the Advanced Settings, and the reviewer rejected the submission, you will be emailed.
- Reviewed Audio File Reassigned: You will be emailed if a submission was originally rejected, but we were able to reassign it.
- Retranscribe Requested: We will email you when a submission is sent back for a re-transcription.
Difficult Audio:
- Difficult Audio Surcharge Assessed: You will be notified when a submission has been flagged as difficult audio.
- Difficult Audio Surcharge Acceptance Required: You will be emailed if a submission is in the Await Accept Difficult Audio Charge status.
- Difficult Audio Await Acceptance Time Exceeded: If no action is taken on a submission in Await Accept Difficult Audio Charge within 7 days, the submission will automatically be cancelled and you will receive a notification.
Batch:
- Batch complete: You will be emailed a .zip file with all the results once all the submissions from a batch are complete.
- Batch of Transcripts Await Review: If you selected Customer Reviews Transcript Before Captioning in the Advanced Settings, and made the requests in a batch, you will receive a .zip file with the transcripts ready for your review.
AST-Link/SSH Integration:
- Submission Successful: You will be emailed the results when a submission done via AST-Link or an SSH integration completes.
- Submission Failure: You will be emailed if a submission done via AST-Link or an SSH integration failed.
- Batch Submission Successful: You will be emailed the results when a batch submission done via AST-Link or an SSH integration completes.
- Batch Submission Failure: You will be emailed if a batch submission done via AST-Link or SSH integration failed.
- Submission Rejected: You will receive a notification if we're unable to process your AST-Link or SSH integration submission.
List of URLs/List Integration:
- Submission Successful: You will be emailed the results when a submission done via List of URLs or List integration completes.
- Submission Failure: You will be emailed if a submission done via List of URLs or List integration failed.
- Batch Submission Successful: You will be emailed the results when a batch submission done via List of URLs or List integration completes.
- Batch Submission Failure: You will be emailed if a batch submission done via List of URLs or List integration failed.
- Submission Rejected: You will receive a notification if we're unable to process your List of URLs or List integration submission.
- Smart Player Links Auto-Generated: If you have chosen to have Smart Player links automatically generated via Settings -> Smart Player, you will receive an email with the Smart Player links when the list completes.
Post Processing:
- Digital NLE Captions Ready: You will be emailed when your Digital NLE Caption request is complete.
- Video Encoding Results Ready: You will be emailed when your Video Encoding request is complete.
Audio Description:
- Description Rejected: You will be emailed when an audio description submission is rejected.
- Redescribe Rejected: You will be emailed when an audio description redescribe request is rejected.
- Description Results Ready: You will be emailed when your audio description results are ready.
Translation:
- Translation Rejected: You will receive a notification if the translator rejected your Translation submission.
- Translation Results Ready: You will be emailed the results when a Translation request completes.
Submissions to be Approved:
- For Expedited Transcription Within 1 Hour: You will receive a notification if there is a submission for Expedited Transcription Within 1 Hour that needs to be approved.
- For Expedited Transcription Within 24 Hours: You will receive a notification if there is a submission for Expedited Transcription within 24 Hours that needs to be approved.
- Other Submissions Within 24 Hours: You will receive a notification if there are Other Submissions for results Within 24 Hours that need to be approved.
- For Expedited Transcription Within 4 Hours: You will receive a notification if there is a submission for Expedited Transcription Within 4 Hours that needs to be approved.
- Other Submissions Within 1 Hour: You will receive a notification if there are Other Submissions submitted for results within 1 Hour that need to be approved.
- Other Submissions Within 24 Hours: You will receive a notification if there are Other Submissions submitted for results within 24 Hours that need to be approved.
Live Captioning:
- Live Captioning Transcript Available: You will be emailed when your live captioning transcript results are available.
Email Attachments:
- Attach a Single ZIP of All Results: You will receive a .zip file with all the files, instead of individual result files. This notification is useful if your email system is rejecting some of the AST attachments (e.g. .asx).
- Maximum Size of the Attachment(s): If your email system has a size limit for attachments (10 MB is the most common), we will limit the total size of the result files sent to you. You can also leave it blank for no limit, or type 0 for no attachments.
Default Credit Card Address:
If you use a specific credit card for your purchases, you can have us save the address associated with it.
