Adding Closed Captioned videos to your SlideShare presentations is easy using CaptionSync's Youtube Integration. SlideShare is an online platform where presentations from webinars, lectures, presentations, and research projects can be shared. The slides can then be viewed on SlideShare or embedded on other websites. This tutorial provides step-by-step instructions on how to embed closed captioned videos in your SlideShare presentations.
Tutorial:
Currently, only YouTube videos can be embedded in SlideShare. So you can place your video on YouTube and then follow the steps below to embed it captioned on SlideShare.
Submitting a YouTube video:
Use our YouTube integration to submit your video and get the caption file automatically uploaded into YouTube. Once captions are ready, they will be delivered into the YouTube account, and you will see the AST CaptionSync Captions identifier when playing the video:
Embedding a YouTube Video into a SlideShare Presentation:
- Log into your SlideShare account and click on My Uploads. Next to the presentation where the video will be embedded, click Edit -> Add YouTube video.
- In the YouTube video URL field, paste the URL to your YouTube video previously captioned. Select the video placement using the Insert this video at drop-down menu. You can also use Add another video to embed multiple videos in your presentation:
- Finally, click Insert & Publish. You will then be able to see captions displayed in your video:
More information about embedding a YouTube video in SlideShare is available in their Adding YouTube videos to a SlideShare presentation article.
