CaptionSync's Audio Description feature will provide you with either a full audio description or a static descriptive text, depending on the type of video content you submit for your audio description request.
The Static Descriptive Text results are generated for videos where a person is talking against an unchanging or static background, and where there is no relevant visual information that requires a full audio description.
All the description that is necessary in such cases is a static text which would contain a general description of the context of the environment, any opening/closing credits, text that appears in the bottom of the video with the name of the speaker, and other basic information, if these are seen on the screen and cannot be heard in the audio.
This technique does not apply to a situation where there are multiple speakers and where the identity of each new speaker is not evident in the audio track but is identified on screen with visual text as they speak. In this case, a full audio description will be generated instead.
The Static Descriptive Text results are provided in the WebVTT format, just as the full audio description results. More information on how to use your Audio Description results is available in our How to use your Audio Description results article.
