Using real-time/live captions in Blackboard Collaborate sessions is easy with CaptionSync. In this article, we describe how attendees and participants can use real-time captions on Blackboard Collaborate.
Using real-time captions on Blackboard Collaborate:
- Join the Blackboard Collaborate session as an attendee. Once you have joined as an attendee, you can turn on live captions by clicking the CC icon, at the top of the Audio & Video panel. When no one is providing live captioning, the closed-captioning window will show No caption source available. More information about viewing and configuring live captions as a participant can be found in Blackboard's Closed Captioning tutorial, under "Open and close the closed-captioning window".
Additional Notes:
- If you are a Blackboard Collaborate Instructor/Moderator, check out our tutorial on how to provide Real-time Captions for your sessions with CaptionSync.
- More information about providing Live Captioning for Blackboard sessions is available in Blackboard's Accessibility in Blackboard Collaborate tutorial.
