Adding real-time/live captions to your conferences is easy with CaptionSync In this article we show how to request Live Captioning for your conferences and concurrent events.
Requesting Live Captioning:
Note: Live Captioning requests for conferences or concurrent events will need to be placed within a week prior to the event, even if the audio source links and/or prep materials have not been finalized yet. Requests with less than a week's notice can still be scheduled, but, coverage cannot be guaranteed.
- To request Live Captioning for your event, log into your CaptionSync account and follow the instructions in our Live Captioning tutorial on how to schedule and choose the appropriate service.
- You'll need to provide us with breakdown or a link to the agenda in the Comments section, at schedule time.
Once we have the complete breakdown of the event and the Live Captioning request is booked, you'll receive a confirmation email from our live@automaticsync.com address with the captioners' information and other details.
Additional Notes:
- If you need to schedule concurrent events, you'll have to create a new Live Captioning request for each set of sessions.
- Any breaks included in the requested time will be billable. To avoid being charged for these breaks, you'll need to create separate requests for each session. E.g.: one request for the morning session and another request for the afternoon session.
