CaptionSync accepts a variety of media files. This article lists the input formats we accept.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- If you don't require Video Encoding or Audio Description for your media, and you have a large video file (> 200 MB), you can submit just the audio content, in the MP3 or WAV format. All we really need is the audio track of the video.
- If your media is not in one of the formats described below, you can use a converter to transcode it to a format we accept.

.M4V | iTunes video |
.RA | Real Player audio |
.RM | Real Player video |
.WAV | PCM audio |
.WEBM | VP8/VP9 video |
.WMA | Windows Media Player audio |
.WMV | Windows Media Player video |
