On the submission status page and on your invoice, you will see a set of “Billing Codes” associated with each submission. This is a shorthand description of the services delivered for that submission that you are being billed for. If you hold your mouse over the billing code on the Status screen, you will get a mouse-over tip describing the codes, but here is a complete list for reference:
- C: Captioning
- g: 2 Hour Transcription
- h: 4 Hour Transcription
- H: 8 Hour Transcription
- R: 1 Day Transcription
- T: 2 Day Transcription
- L: 4 Day Transcription
- J: Tier Two Offshore: 5+ Day Transcription
- 6: Tier Three Machine Transcription
- P: Production Transcript Sync (this code is always combined with a transcription code: e.g. PT or PR)
- i: Caption Import
- I: Video Encoding (for either encoded subtitles or open captioned MP4s)
- Q: Result Review
- X: Translation (this code will always be combined with the Translation Captions code: XS)
- S: Translation Captions (XS if our translation service was used, or just S if you provided your own translated transcript)
- A: Full Audio Description
- B: Audio Description Static Text
- N: Open Audio Description
- Z: Difficult Audio Surcharge
- V: Remote CART
- W: Remote CART - Spanish or French
- G: Graduation Captioning
- Y: eCART
- K: Remote Text Interpreting
- E: Live Captioning Output File

Note for GSA Purchases:
AST provides its services to government buyers under a GSA Schedule 70 contract (contract number GS-35F-0220X). Only the following services are available under our GSA contract: Captioning (C), 2 Day Transcription (T), and 1 Day Transcription (R). All other services are available to government buyers, but they are off-schedule purchases.
