If you selected the Customer Reviews Description Before Results option, when you made your Audio Description request, you will be prompted to review the description once it becomes available (you will be emailed if you checked the Settings -> Contact Settings -> General -> Await Customer Review option). To do this, open the Status of Audio Descriptions page, on your CaptionSync account. Then click the Await Customer Review link of the desired AST ID:
On the Description Review page, you can download the description by the Description to Review field:
You can edit the transcript in a text editor, like Word, Notepad, TextEdit, etc. You just need to make sure you save the description as a plain. txt file; don't delete any of the markers you see on the text (e.g. ^01:00:34); and also please save it as UTF-8.
Finally, when you're done making changes, you just need to upload the revised description, on that same page, by choosing the Upload Revised Description option, and then click the Proceed button:
If you don't need to make any changes to the description, you just need to choose the Accept Description As Is option, and click Proceed.
If for some reason the description you downloaded is missing some content, or it doesn't match the content in the media file, you can also request a Redescription of your job, so that the correct text can be made available by the describer. In this case, choose the Request Redescription option, note the issue you have, and then click Proceed.
The final process of generating the description will then proceed, and you should expect results within a few minutes.
- The description can be accepted/reviewed up until being 4 days in Await Review status.
